As part of the Russian National team, Muscovites earned seven medals at the EuroSkills Budapest 2018 championship
At the EuroSkills Budapest 2018 European championship of professional skill Muscovites won seven medals (two gold ones, four silver ones and one bronze medal).
The gold medals in the competences of “Graphic Design” and “Hotel Management” were won by Alexandra Valuikina and Vitalia Yakovenko respectively. Vitaly Bondarenko won the silver medal in “Carpentry”. Nikolai Larionov earned the silver medal in the “Cargo vehicles maintenance”. The silver medals in the competences “Repair and maintenance of passenger cars” and “Floristics” were won by Nikolai Donchak and Elizaveta Shkimbova respectively. Nikolai Golikov won the bronze medal in “Furniture production”.
The Russian national team took the first place in the EuroSkills Budapest 2018 European championship of professional skill. The Russians won 19 medals. For the first time, our country ranked first in the medal standings, winning most medals among all participating European countries. The Russians brought 9 gold, 8 silver, and 2 bronze medals in a national team medal count. According to the number of medals, Russia was ahead of Austria and France, and as for scoring points, it surpassed Austria and Hungary.
EuroSkills is the largest professional skill competition in Europe for young people under 25 years old, which are held every two years in one of the 29 countries participating in WorldSkills Europe.
From September 25 to 29, 2018, the sixth championship was held in Budapest. 48 Russian competitors from 17 regions of Russia took part in the EuroSkills 2018 competition in 41 competences. In total, 600 contestants from 29 European countries took part in the championship in the capital of Hungary.
