Payments to winners

In accordance with Decree of Moscow Government N 548-PP dated 22/08/2017 lump-sum payments are awarded to the students and graduates, representing the city of Moscow as members of Russian national teams, formed according to the procedures established by the Russian Federation Ministry of Education and Science, at international competitions and championships in school subjects and at the WorldSkills Competition.

Gold medal winners – 1000000 rubles (for each title)

Silver medal awardees – 500000 rubles (for each title)

Bronze medal awardees – 250000 rubles (for each title)

All-Russian Olympiad of School Students

Today, it is possible to participate and win in the Olympiad, while studying at any school (since 2012 the school stage of the Olympiad has been held at all Moscow schools).

Olympiads are becoming an evident tool for identifying and developing the talent of each child. In 2018, 559 schools prepared winners and awardees of the city round of the All-Russian Olympiad of School Students.

By virtue to it, the quality of participation of the Moscow team in the final round of the All-Russian Olympiad of School Students has improved: in 2018 high results have been achieved - 906 diplomas of winners and awardees of the final round of the All-Russian Olympiad of School Students. In comparison with 2010, this indicator has increased by more than three times (in 2010 there were 278 winners and awardees).

In 2018, 191 Moscow schoolchildren achieved the highest result in the tasks in a selected subject, having become the winner of the final round of the All-Russian Olympiad of School Students (in 2010 - 76 people).

The central tendency is the steady increase of the number of schools that prepare winners and awardees: since 2010, the number of schools that prepared the finalists of the final round of Russian School Olympiad has increased by three times - from 74 schools to 227.

International subject olympiads

Russian teams that include Muscovites successfully perform at international olympiads in general subjects.

The 2016 year
eight international subject olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, information technology, astronomy and science.
9 gold and 6 silver medals

The 2017 year
Eight international subject olympiads in astronomy and astrophysics, biology, geography, information technology, mathematics, physics, chemistry and science.
7 gold, 8 silver, and 4 bronze medals

Eight international subject olympiads in mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, astronomy and astrophysics, geography, information technology, science.

Moscow Olympiad of schoolchildren

Moscow Olympiad of schoolchildren from large cities and capitals of the world (The Olympiad of Metropolises) On the initiative of the Mayor of Moscow, since 2016 the International Olympiad of Metropolises has been held in Moscow - team tournament in mathematics, information technology, chemistry, and physics. In the first Olympiad, 22 teams from Abu-Dhabi, Almaty, Astana, Belgrade, Berlin, Bishkek, Budapest, Jakarta, Düsseldorf, Yerevan, Leipzig, Milan, Minsk, New Delhi, Beijing, Riga, St.Petersburg, Sofia, Tallinn, Tel Aviv, Helsinki, and Moscow - the hostess of the event, took part.

In the II Moscow Olympiad of schoolchildren from major cities and capitals of the world in 2017, 36 teams from 26 countries participated: Moscow, Abu Dhabi, Almaty, Astana, Baku, Banja Luka, Belgrade, Bishkek, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Gaborone, Hannover, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Düsseldorf, Zagreb, Jerusalem, Krakow, Leipzig, Lima, Luoyang, Milan, Minsk, New Delhi, Beijing, Riga, Rome, St.Petersburg, Sofia, Istanbul, Tallinn, Tel Aviv, Helsinki, Chengdu, Shanghai.

In 2018, in the III Moscow Olympiad of schoolchildren of major cities and capitals of the world, schoolchildren from 33 cities of 26 countries participated: Almaty, Astana, Baku, Banja Luka, Belgrade, Berlin, Bishkek, Boston, Bratislava, Budapest, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Delhi, Dushanbe, Düsseldorf,Yerevan, Zagreb, Jerusalem, Innsbruck, Leipzig, Lima, Milan, Minsk, Moscow, St.Petersburg, Sofia, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Helsinki, Shanghai, Madrid, Frankfurt am Main and Ulan Bator.

Throughout the three years, Moscow team has won the first place in the Moscow team standings (командный зачет) of the Olympiad of schoolchildren in major cities and capitals of the world.
