Last Wednesday Isaac Kalina answered parent's questions during the selector streaming of the expert advisory committee of the parental community (information is available on the website school.moscow in the section "Open Department").
Answering parents’ questions whether it is necessary to work on the culture of acceptance of special children by parents and students, Isaac Kalina explained that it is essential to teach people about kindness and the culture of humanity.
"When we begin to say that children with special features must have the ability to communicate, we endorse inclusivity in one direction: how to give the child a chance to live among healthy children. However, it seems exactly the opposite. Children with special features of health have more of this valuable human quality - kindness - than healthy people sometimes. Therefore, healthy people must have an opportunity to communicate with those who, despite all difficulties of life, remain people and often remain professionals."– Isaac Kalina said.
According to him, if we refuse to accept the person who has some physical obstacles, then, we forget that no one of us is insured from anything in this life.
"No one is insured, and each of us should remember it. Moreover, when building relationships with other people, one always must remember that tomorrow he can fall into such state." – He noted.
Isaac Kalina also emphasized that it is impossible to form a character or an ability of acceptance of other people separately from the formation of the culture of kindness. "I think, it is a much more extensive task, though the attitude towards other people that are different from you can be a controlling factor or a control indicator of the formation of a culture of humanity." – he concluded.
